About Sensori Safety

My name is Tony Mudd, the founder of Sensori Safety. With over a decade of experience as a Safety Professional, people often inquire about what led me to pursue a career in Workplace Safety. The profound commitment to ensuring the well-being of workers and their safe return home every day can be traced back to a defining moment involving my grandfather.

Our Source of Inspiration:

On January 24th, 1996, my grandfather, a devoted employee of 25 years, and a loving husband and father of 5, left for work but never made it back home. That evening, his wife received a phone call that would fill her with terror, urgently requesting her presence at the job site.

Amidst the chaotic scene of sirens, paramedics, and police officers, she learned that he had been crushed by 5,000 pounds of lumber— an incident caused by an untrained crane operator who failed to see him in the work area. This catastrophic event changed his life forever.

Surviving the accident came at a great cost; he underwent 16 hours of reconstructive surgery, endured over 60 broken bones, and was told he would never walk again. For 12 challenging months, he was paralyzed from the legs down, confined to a body cast, and unable to care for himself.

After a year in a body cast and an additional 2 years of physical therapy, he lost his job, and his mental health deteriorated. Although he physically survived, the incident took his life — his ability to provide for his family and live free from pain and agony.

At the age of 7, I witnessed my grandfather's struggle for the life he once knew. Unable to play ball, go on road trips, or have him by my side at graduation, the impact on his mental and emotional well-being was profound. Workplace safety, for me, is not just a job; it's 100% personal. I've experienced the life-changing phone call that alters everything.

When I reflect on my grandfather, a hardworking family man who believed in creating his own future, I can't help but think about that future being unjustly taken from him. Determined to prevent others from receiving that life-altering call, I committed my life to helping workers return home safely.

Developing Sensori Safety:

As a Safety Professional, I've led workplace safety programs for Fortune 500 companies in manufacturing and transportation. Despite significant investments in safety measures, these companies faced recurring injuries, crashes, and near-hits.

Despite Safety Certification Training, Lights/Cameras & Gates, Site Safety Programs, and experienced Operators, substantial change was elusive. Employers lacked the means to measure a worker's ability to operate heavy equipment or perform critical tasks safely based on their mental and physical capabilities.

This is where Sensori Safety comes in! We bridge the gap, offering solutions that truly make a difference. If you're interested in learning more about our services, please don't hesitate to contact us today. Take a moment to watch the video below and reach out with any questions.
