4 Simple Steps: Get Listed as Authorized OSHA Outreach Instructor
Author: Tony Mudd, CSP Published: 7/25/2022 Time: 3 Minutes
I decided last year to pursue my Authorized Outreach Instructor Trainer Certification for the General Industry, however, after reviewing the requirements and completing the OSHA training classes I was confused about how to get listed on OSHA’s Find Outreach Trainers website.
After searching OSHA’s federal website online, I decided to reach out to my outreach training provider via email. I was told that this can be easily done by logging into my outreach training portal with my selected username and password. If you don’t have an account, you must create one and this may take a day or so to get approved by the Outreach Training Facility.
Instruction: Step One
After logging into the portal, you will see three different profile categories including Forms, Historical Records, and Account Information.
Instruction: Step Two
After clicking the Update Account Values tab, it will take you to another screen where you will enter your contact information including your name, address, phone number, and website. There is also a button that states “I agree to share my contact information with OSHA.gov so that students electronically searching for OSHA 10/30 Hour Outreach training opportunities can contact me”. You want to make sure to click “Yes”.
Instruction: Step Three
After updating your information, it may take several weeks for the system to populate your information as an Authorized Outreach Instructor on the Federal OSHA website.
Instruction: Step Four
I hope you enjoyed this article, and that you are able to get listed once you have completed all of the necessary training requirements.
